Apprentice of the Year Apprentice of the Year Awards - Spring 2010
July 2010 WINNER!! - Kristopher Hesketh
Kristopher trained with the NWTC for 4 years and has now completed his apprenticeship. He attended NWTC one day per week, spending the remainder of the week working with us gaining valuable experience such as turning, milling and fitting. Since completing his training and being awarded the Apprentice of the Year Award, Kristopher has continued his employment with us and now carries out more advanced work operating CNC machines. He intends to take a break from training for now, but in the future will look into completing an HNC with the hope of gaining a promotion and further developing his skills. He said “Being Apprentice of the Year is a great achievement for myself and for W. Bibby Ltd and has made my parents very proud. Anyone thinking of doing an apprenticeship should go for it and work as hard as they can.” Dick Jellicoe, Production Director at W. Bibby said “The Company benefit from employing apprentices because they are trained by ourselves and learn things the way we do it.”
Race for Life 2009 Jeanette runs the race of her life on the 5th of July!
July 2009 - Jeanette's Story
"I lost my father through prostate cancer, and I have a friend who has been diagnosed with the same type of cancer. I entered “race for Life” and my friend Jayne and I began running together to get as fit as possible (I turned 51 in May). I am ecstatic just to have done it, but to have been sponsored so generously by so many people has made me feel very proud. With the help of my work mates – the engineers all gave individually, as did Dick and Roy, plus sponsorship from W.Bibby Ltd and other friends and family members the total raised so far is £172!"
